Well, lemme start with the strat:
100%-70%- Rafflesia will connect two people (random, will not pick current MT). They need to move away from each other quickly. It's best to stack up as this is coming to limit the amount of space you have to travel to break them. Between the 1st and 2nd (and every other one from here to 40%) vines, Rafflessia will summon three dark matter bulbs. If there's one that spawns in the middle, DPS need to burn it down as fast as possible. If there is not one, it's fine to ignore them. During the 2nd set of vines, Rafflessia will choose one random person (never a tank) and put a big yellow mark over their head. After the mark disappears, it will stun that person and anyone in front of it, before sucking in anyone within a LARGE cone in front of it. Anyone that is "eaten" grants a damage buff to the boss.
There are a couple ways that are popular to deal with this.
First- Briar method. This method involves the person isolating themselves to one side of the boss (where depends on the group's decision and the placement of briars), while everyone else is on the other. If that person is in the briars when it stuns, the stun, and the suck-in will miss. That person should then re-take their place at the boss.
Second- LOS method- The person with the mark will go to the front of the boss. After the mark disappears (and RIGHT after) both that person and the tank move to behind the boss. That person will still get stunned, but will not get sucked in. Either method is fine.
After the suck-in move, regardless if it hits someone or not, it will use "spit"- Aoe damage. heal through. this pattern will continue to 70%.
At 70% the boss keeps doing the above but adds two new moves.
Blighted Bouquet- This move is channeled, and will kill anyone MOVING or HITTING something at the time of completion. everyone should turn from the boss and stop all damage during this move. (note, a well geared tank CAN survive this hit, but is not recommended).
Another move(sorry the name eludes me but it's glazed something)- This will target one person that's not 1 or 2 on the threat meter. A dark matter wasp them appears. That wasp must be burned down, or it will eventually start one-shotting people. (BE WARNED THAT BOUQUET WILL SHOW UP WHILE THE WASP IS OUT).
Very important- The person with the glaze will need to purposefully get eaten the next time it does that move. This will remove the glaze. If you do not do this, the wasp will reappear, slowing your damage and potentially causing a wipe.
Side note to this move- If the person with glaze dies, the boss will pick another target and another wasp will appear. This is generally a wipe.
Boss will keep doing this to 40%. right AT 40% it will transition to the last phase. If anyone has a glaze debuff, this will potentially cause a wipe. Please plan your dps and stoppage accordingly!
40%-0%- The boss will start with a channeled Leafstorm. This move does some damage. No more bulbs will appear at this time.
3 Dark Matter slugs will appear as leafstorm comes out. Offtank picks these up and marks one. (this method is for the current dps level you have) After the leafstorm, the main tank should be ready to move to an edge. The boss will then cast Acid Rain. This is a channeled move that immediately precedes 3 random people being targetted. Those targets will get a circle underneath them (think titan plumes). Everyone should remain stacked up aside from MT. As soon as Acid rain is donw AND THE CIRCLES SHOW UP everyone moves out of them. 3 Dark Matter Honey.. slimes.. will appear. DPS will move to behind the boss and hit the marked slug down to about 50% (don't kill it, it's very low HP). That slug will go to the nearest Honey. If all three honeys are together, the slug will eat them all. This is wanted. The melee should get LB3 ready as SOON as it starts eating the honey (and to the OT: this will hurt). Kill the slug and go back to boss. OT is permanently OT at this time. They can just kite the slugs.
Note. do not touch the honeys in any way. They have a reflect that is something awful. This includes Flash.
DPS gets back on the boss and remains right behind the boss for the last of the moves.
I don't know the name, but it's a beam that extends the length of the arena. This will target one healer and needs to hit at least 4 people for the healer to survive it. The more the better. the number of people softens the blow.
After the super slug is down, burn boss and hope. You'll likely get a 2nd level 1 LB in.
